The earth shouting
Have you ever heard the earth shouting? I'm sure you have. In a roaring waterfall, booming thunder, crashing ocean wave, or the spew of a hot geyser from the belly of the earth, we hear the earth shouting. The Hebrew prophet Isaiah drew a connection between the earth shouting and God and hope and promise for good news for the future. Our 21st century minds may not think exactly in those terms. But we still may sense something of the Sacred when we are privileged to hear the earth shouting.
