LIGHT AND LOVE

 

LIGHT AND LOVE - Dr. King's message just never becomes outdated or irrelevant, does it?  Even after all of these years, we still find ourselves beset by the darkness of bigotry, prejudice and hatred.  Just when we thought we might have made a bit of progress in our nation toward racial harmony, those forces afore mentioned rear their ugly heads again in full force.  Sometimes we may feel like we want to lash out, to strike back, to fight fire with fire, as they say.  But then, we are reminded yet again of King the man and the movement that thrust our nation forward in a giant leap toward progress.  It was a movement that elevated light over darkness and love over hatred.
