HOLDING ONTO HOPE

HOLDING ONTO HOPE - If there’s one biblical word we have been clinging to these past two months, like a child clings to a security blanket, it is hope.  The author of Hebrews reminds us that we hope for what we do not yet see, but our faith gives us confidence that what we hope for will in time become reality.  So we cling to hope, and it helps us take each day as it comes – hope that we and our loved ones can avoid or at least be victorious over the virus; hope that our livelihoods will remain intact or return; hope that things will return to some semblance of normal and we can move about freely again; and hope that we can soon return to in-person church services and activities.  So let us greet each morning with hope.  Hope can help us get through the days until we see this thing through.
