FINDING BEAUTY IN UNEXPECTED PLACES - The COVID-19 pandemic has led me--led many of us, I imagine--to have a greater appreciation for beauty.  Beauty, we have found, especially natural beauty, is good for the soul - it is soul nurturing and soul restorative.  And so, I have found myself looking for beauty in unexpected and out-of-the-way places.  As Confucius said, "Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it." For instance, one might not at first think that a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker could be a thing of beauty.  But I have discovered beauty in these feathered friends who are regular backyard visitors.  As we go about our day, where might unrealized beauty be waiting to nourish the soul?
