THE LIGHTNESS OF SPRING

THE LIGHTNESS OF SPRING - Is it true, as poet Emily Dickinson suggests, that "a light exists in spring not present at any other period of the year"?  Could it be that the increasing light of the sun, the light reflected from fauna and flora, as in the bright yellow blossoms of the Forsythia bushes, is different from any other time of the year?  And could it be that the light of spring, as well as the spiritual light inherent in Lent and approaching Easter, calls forth from within each of us light of our own that we, too, may share with the world?
