EAGLE'S WINGS

 

EAGLE'S WINGS - Some biblical writers drew on the metaphor of being sheltered under the wings of the Almighty (for instance, Psalm 17:8).  We may not take the idea literally, but such can be a comforting thought to ponder, especially during uncertain, troubling times.  As the author of Ruth puts it, "May you be richly rewarded by the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge" (Ruth 2:12).
