EVERYTHING'S CONNECTED
EVERYTHING'S CONNECTED - A common theme we read in a number of naturalists and environmentalists is everything in nature is connected. Rachel Carson contended, "In nature, nothing exists alone." And John Muir observed, "When we try to pick out anything by itself, we find it hitched to everything else in the universe." My Unitarian Universalist friends speak of "the interdependent web of all existence." Has it not been impressed upon us these past 18 months just how connected we are to each other, to the world, indeed, to the entire universe? And have we not yet learned just how much we need one another?
