SOLITUDE AND COMMUNION
SOLITUDE AND COMMUNION - May Sarton's contention that "Solitude is one of the ways toward communion" may seem like a contradiction in terms. It is another one of those quotations that leads one to pause and think for a bit. Perhaps one possible interpretation is that solitude in the world of Nature - God's creation - can lead to a sense of communion with life, the universe, the Great Other, resulting in a feeling of oneness with all that is.
