SMALL THINGS IN LOVE

SMALL THINGS IN LOVE - In a well-known Christina Rossetti poem that has been turned into a Christmas carol, the poet asks, "What can I give Him,/ Poor as I am?"  She goes on to explain that if she were a shepherd or a wise man, she would have something to give.  Yet, poor as she was, the best she could give was her heart.  Well, in that same spirit, Mother Teresa reminds us of the importance of small things that are done with great love.  And Paul also stated that "the greatest of these is love" (1 Cor. 13:13).  Today, few of us will do what the world might classify as "great things."  Rather, we resolve to accomplish many small things, done with great love.
