ANGELS

 

ANGELS - Angels play a prominent role in the Christmas story, including children's Christmas pageants all over the world, Christmas greeting cards, and even in popular Christmas movies such as It's a Wonderful Life.  Whether one takes the idea of angels literally or figuratively, the role of angels is to be bearers of good news.  Writer Henri Nouwen contended that we are to be angels to each other.  We are to be bearers of consolation and hope to those in our lives and those we encounter each day.  What better time to be reminded of this than the week of Christmas?
